Scrum half Gonzalo Bertranou came off the bench in Argentina’s 32-12 loss to the Springboks at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
The-27-year-old replaced Felipe Ezcurra for the final half hour in a tough opening test for Los Pumas in the Zurich Rugby Championship.
Bertranou, who has made 10 appearances for Dragons since his move to the region in February, will hope to feature in the repeat clash against the Springboks at the same venue on Saturday 21 August.
The South Americans will be looking to bounce back from the opening weekend defeat before they travel to face New Zealand in round three and four.
Former Dragon Nahuel Tetaz Chaparro also featured having been named at loosehead for the opening game in the Rugby Championship.
