Dean Ryan has praised the performances of in-form wing Jonah Holmes – as the Wales international star continued his red-hot scoring streak against Ospreys.
Holmes grabbed a try brace in the Guinness PRO14 Rainbow Cup clash at Rodney Parade to move to an impressive 10 tries in his last nine games.
Top try scorer in the competition, Holmes also occupies top spot in the Clean Breaks (4), Defenders Beaten (21) and Metres Gained (307).
And Director of Dragons Rugby Ryan admits the Wales wing looks threatening every time he touches the ball.
“Jonah just looks very difficult to bring down at the moment and I think our game is suiting him,” said Ryan.
“We just need to keep pushing him to hit the heights because he’s playing as well as I’ve seen him play in a long time.
“Jonah’s got a lot of license to move around and get on the ball. He’s a good footballer. If people kick badly to him then he’s able to bring it back. He just looks incredibly strong.
“I’m sure the guys at international level will look at that as a great asset they can rely on.”
