Boss Dean Ryan has made three changes to the starting line-up as Dragons face Scarlets in a United Rugby Championship derby at Rodney Parade on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3pm).
Dragons look to back up last week’s historic victory over their Welsh rivals as they welcome the West Walians to Rodney Parade.
Taylor Davies replaces Elliot Dee at hooker with the Welsh international recovering from the knock he received last week to be amongst the replacements.
Aki Seiuli and Leon Brown pack down either side of Davies with Welsh duo Ben Carter and Will Rowlands completing the front five.
There is one change to the back row with Ben Fry replacing Taine Basham who drops to the bench.
While there is just one change to the backline from last week’s thrilling victory as Jordan Williams comes in at fullback after missing the previous game through illness.
Ross Moriarty, Ollie Griffiths, Aneurin Owen and Ashton Hewitt are among those that remain unavailable for selection as they continue to recover from injuries.
Ryan said: “We look at this weekend as an opportunity to see if we can back a performance up & we’re looking forward to playing at home again.
“Reflecting on last week, I didn’t think we played as well as we can, I do think there is more in us.
“We need to control the game more when we’ve got periods of ascendency. I do recognise that comes with a bit of confidence and we’ve been trying to do that against the backdrop of not getting the results that we want.
“Hopefully this weekend is another staging post for building confidence that we can play better and can go on to control more of the game” he added.
