Dragons Wheelchair team travelled to Stole Mandeville last weekend to play in the latest round of the WR5s tournament - Wheelchair Rugby 5s.
Competing in the newly formed Group A League Two, Dragons currently stand with 26 points – just two points behind leaders Norfolk Knights with one round to go!
The first game starting strong with a win against Brighton Buccaneers (5-15) before defeat against Harlequins (19-16). A stunning win against Northampton Wanderers (17-5) was followed by a loss against the Taunton Gladiators (13-11). To finish off the day the team were edged out by the league leaders (13-11).
Norfolk Knights take first place in the table with Dragons standing strong at second place. Third, fourth and fifth place are Harlequins, Taunton Gladiators and Northampton Wanderers. Brighton Buccaneers take the final spot.
The final round of action takes place for the Dragons Wheelchair team at Fenton Manor Sports Complex in Stoke-on-Trent on September 2. With just two points in between first and second place fingers crossed we can take the title!
