Head Coach Dai Flanagan made a surprise visit to a Newport school this week to thank pupils for their support of the club.
Flanagan popped into St Julian’s Primary School on Wednesday morning after seeing online the school’s impressive research on him and the Men of Gwent.
St Julian’s Primary School are part of our Tony Brown Gateway Rugby programme that sees primary school pupils across the region enjoy sporting skills, team building activities and small sided games with our Dragons Community staff.
Earlier this week, Dragons Community Officer Steve Lewis had posted about his visit to the school and all the information they had discovered about our Head Coach as part of summer term project.
After Dai saw the drawings and all the hard work online, he duly asked to join Steve later in the week to personally thank the students.
During his visit Dai took part in a Q&A session with pupils before handing out ticket vouchers to all the children so they can attend a game at Rodney Parade with their families later this season.
