Dragons RFC prop Luke Yendle is to join English RFU Championship side Ampthill on loan.
Yendle, who made his senior debut for the club in December 2020 in the Heineken Champions Cup, moves to Dillingham Park with immediate effect to gain further valuable game time.
The 23-year-old – who signed new terms with the Men of Gwent at the end of last season and has made four senior appearances in total for the club – previously spent part of the 2021/22 season on loan at Jersey Reds.
Head Coach Dai Flanagan said: “Luke is a homegrown young talent who has come through our Academy system and needs further playing experience.
“His experience with Jersey was beneficial to his development and we feel time with Ampthill will also be a very positive experience for him.
“Linking up with a top coach in Paul Turner and getting to test himself in a competitive English Championship is a great opportunity for his continued career development.”
