Full back Angus O’Brien has thanked the Rodney Parade crowd for another season of unwavering support as the home league season ends this evening.
The Men of Gwent welcome Connacht Rugby to Newport tonight (kick-off 7.35pm) in Round 15 of the BKT United Rugby Championship.
O’Brien – who has now clocked up 81 games for Dragons – is eager to repay the home fanbase with a big final performance on home soil.
“We can’t wait to get back out there one more time. It’s an amazing place to play and the fans are always superb,” he said.
“We want to give them a good send-off for this season.
“They have stood by us, that is always a given at Rodney Parade.
“They are always with you and, as a playing group we’re a bit disappointed we haven’t given them a few more wins, which we should have and know.
“We’re looking to rectify that and looking to finish the season at home off on a high and have a good win back at Rodney Parade.”
