Ryan Woodman’s Wales Under-20 were hit by an avalanche of tries in Oyonnax as France scored 11 tries in a record 67-14 defeat of their visitors.
There was a period of defiance from Wales at the start of the second half, when they scored two tries in eight minutes to put the home side back on their heels for a few moments.
There were six tries from the two French wings, with Leo Drouet picking up four of them. On the other wing, Nicolas Depeetere helped himself to two.
Despite the final result, our congratulations to Ryan Woodman, Dylan Kelleher-Griffiths, Che Hope, Oli Andrew, Harri Ackerman and Sam Scafe on taking part in the Under-20s Six Nations for Wales.
