Dragons RFC is delighted to announce its continued close working partnership with South Wales Sports Grounds Contractors Ltd (SWSG), which has yielded outstanding results.
The collaboration between the two entities has led to a remarkable achievement, with the installation of the pitch along with the expertise of the grounds team at Rodney Parade garnering the prestigious title of ‘League Two Grounds Team of the Year’.
Dragons RFC and SWSG joined forces to ensure that the pitch at Rodney Parade would meet the highest standards of quality and performance for both Dragons RFC and Newport County. Through their combined efforts and expertise, the club now boasts a world-class playing surface that has been recognised as the best in the League Two, two years running.
SWSG's commitment to excellence extends beyond the initial installation. They continue to provide annual maintenance services for the pitch of which has begun, ensuring its optimal condition and performance throughout the year. Their expertise has provided an exceptional experience for both players and spectators.
With the annual maintenance being carried out this week, Jon Raymond, Facilities Manager at Rodney Parade, comments on the successful partnership. Their dedication and expertise in the field have undoubtedly contributed to the pitch being in outstanding condition.
