Thousands enjoy Dragons Cup weekend

15/05/2023

Over 4,000 supporters descended on Rodney Parade last weekend as the Dragons Cup Finals weekend took place at the home of Dragons RFC.

Aspiring young rugby players from across the region battled it out for glory on the stadium pitch over two action-packed days.

Participation numbers across the competition, that runs from Under-12s to Under-16s level, have grown again this season.

And the appetite for the competition was underlined as thousands of fans came through the turnstiles to watch all the finals.

A big thank you to Gladiator Group – the official Trophy Sponsor for the event – and also Wales Air Ambulance who were the official Charity Partners over the weekend.

The Under-16s and Under-15s competition concluded on Saturday (May 13) with the Under-12, Under-13s and Under-14s finals on Sunday (May 14). A huge congratulations to all the winners.
