Newport’s biggest and best fireworks display for all the family is back this Bonfire Night.
For the first time since 2019, Fireworks on Parade returns on Sunday (November 5) at Rodney Parade. This hugely popular event – that has been attended by thousands of revelers in previous years – is the must-see date in the diary for Newport in 2023!

What time do Gates open?
The Gates will open from 4pm. Please note access will via either the Main Gate, situated off Grafton Road, or via the gates situated on Rodney Road.
Can I purchase tickets on the day?
The event is now SOLD OUT! Only those with tickets should come to Rodney Parade. Please allow plenty of time to enter the stadium.
Will there be parking available on the day?
Unfortunately, there is no car parking availability at Rodney Parade. For car parking please follow directions for the City Centre once you have departed the Motorway. Car parks at both Friars Walk and Kingsway are a short walk across the Millennium River Bridge.
Will there be catering and refreshments options?
Yes, a large number of outlets will be available throughout the event. These outlets include Dirty Fries, Pizzas, Burgers, Chicken and sweet stalls, as well as numerous Bars and a Coffee outlet. Please note, all Bars remain cashless at Rodney Parade.
Will the Stadium Superstore be open on the day?
Yes, the Stadium Superstore (situated within the Bisley Stand) will be open during the event. Please note, the store will close approximately 30 minutes prior to the commencement of Fireworks.
What time will the entertainment start?
Live entertainment, hosted by Polly James, will start from 6pm. The evening’s entertainment includes live performances from Redwood City, Tinty and The Bucket Hats as well as X-Factor and Voice of Wales star James Williams. Please note, the Fireworks display are due to start around 7:30pm.
Will there be children's activities available?
Yes, in addition to the Live Entertainment and Fireworks, Children soft play will be available (Free of Charge) within the Marquee. In addition, we will be joined by a range of furry friends such as Bluey, Baby JJ, Roblox, Sonic, Unicorn and Stitch!
Can I bring my own food and drink into the event?
No, food and drink are not allowed to be brought into the venue.
Can I bring a camping chair into the ground?
Yes, but you will only be able to use them within a designated area away from the stage.
What should I wear?
Please be prepared for the weather conditions as this is an open air event being held on the training field and not inside the stadium , the best view will be from the grass training field so appropriate footwear is also recommended.
Can I bring sparklers into the ground?
No, they present a hazard within an event of this size and as a result, and for everyone’s safety they will not be allowed inside.
