Newport’s biggest and best fireworks display is set to draw a record crowd this year as tickets continue to rocket for the Bonfire Night spectacular.
For the first time since 2019, Fireworks on Parade returns on Sunday, November 5 at Rodney Parade.
The hugely popular event drew an impressive crowd of 4,700 the last time it was held four years ago.
But that will now be surpassed this Sunday with over 4,800 tickets already sold!.
Ben Lucey, Operations Manager at Dragons RFC, said: “We’ve been delighted with the response from the people of Newport and local region to the return of fireworks at the home of Dragons RFC and Newport County.
“We’ll have a big range of food and drinks on offer on the night, plus live entertainment, and lots of children’s activities, so something the whole family can enjoy.
“Tickets are selling fast so the message is to buy them today and come join us!”
Gates for Fireworks on Parade will open at 4pm on Sunday – ticket sales start from 3pm – and Dragons have announced that radio DJ and sports presenter, Polly James, will host music on the main stage from 6pm.
Redwood City, Tinty and the Bucket Hats and Britain’s Got Talent star Travis George will all perform before the fireworks take centre stage at 7.30pm.
Entry to the event is £10 for adults and £5 for Under-16s. Babes in arms are FREE. A family ticket (two adults and two Under-16s) is also available for £25.
