Young fans across Gwent will be supporting Dragons RFC next season with FREE Junior Memberships – thanks to a new Dragons Community and VX3 award that recognises outstanding achievements in school.
The Tony Brown Gateway Rugby project is our hugely successful primary school provision that is run throughout the region.
Every fortnight our community staff visit a school, delivering a number of generic sporting skills, team building activities and small sided games during our hour-long session.
The aim is for the pupils to become more skilful, learning important life skills through sport and ultimately enjoying the experience whilst looking after their health and wellbeing.
Obviously, the sporting sessions themselves are of the highest calibre but the scheme comes with many attractive add-ons including entry into our annual Primary Tag rugby festivals (final played on Rodney Parade), complimentary tickets for two selected Dragons matches and a reward ticketing scheme for parenting programme, staff and pupils.
And now – to celebrate the new season – we have been rewarding a pupil from each school with a FREE Junior Membership to recognise their hard work and dedication.
And we have also teamed up with our Official Kit Provider VX3 to make sure each winning pupil also gets a FREE t-shirt too!
Keep checking our Dragons Community social media channels for the very latest and all the winners from our local primary schools.
We are currently working with Primary schools from all around the region with huge success, and would welcome more schools into our #GatewayRugbyFamily to enjoy the many inspiring opportunities.
