Dragons RFC centre Savannah Picton Powell grabbed a second haf try but it was Canada Women U20s who gave Wales Women U20s a lesson in the art of finishing when racing over for nine tries in a 53-17 victory in the Transatlantic Quad Series at Cardiff Arms Park.
The Canadians were lethal with ball in hand with their physicality with and without the ball gave Liza Burgess’s side plenty to think about.
Uncharacteristic errors blighted Wales throughout with dropped passes disrupting flow and continuity for the home side.
Canada scored five first half tries to leave Wales facing a mountain to climb in the second spell but despite scoring two second half tries, the visitors proved too strong and claimed another four touchdowns to claim the honours.
Picton Powell - who was vice captain on the night - was joined by Dragons team-mates Abi Meyrick, Lucy Isaac, Chloe Thomas Bradley and Katie Bevans in the fixture. Well done to all the players involved in the two fixtures in the capital.
