Boss Dai Flanagan has told his Dragons to ‘lose the fear’ when they tackle Zebre Parma in a crunch BKT United Rugby Championship clash on Good Friday (kick-off 7.35pm).
The Men of Gwent tackle the Italians on home soil looking to move away from the foot of the league table.
And Flanagan wants his team to embrace the magnitude of the game and enjoy the occasions under the lights in Newport.
“We must embrace the challenge at home,” he stated.
“Every home game we want to make our people proud and sometimes the bottom line of that is turning up, performing, and winning. That’s what we must do.
“We've got good players throughout our squad,” he added.
“Players like Ben Carter, Matthew Screech and George Nott in the second row. Dan Lydiate, Taine Basham, Harri Keddie, Aaron Wainwright, Sean Lonsdale in the back row. Rio Dyer, Jared Rosser in the backline with Joe Westwood and Cai Evans.
“We need these boys to express themselves now. Lose the fear and go out and enjoy what they do, put on a show and be accurate.
"We must take the chances that that have been presented the last couple of weeks.”
