Flanker Harry Beddall is set to make his Ebbw Vale debut as one of nine Dragons on show in Super Rygbi Cymru this weekend.
Beddall is joined by Owen Conquer who returns to the Steelmen 23, while Harri Ackerman starts for Newport alongside Noah Morgan with Joe Salter on the bench.
Pontypool include a quartet of Dragons with Harri Ford and Morgan Lloyd starting at half-back, while Rhys Cole is on the wing and Logan Franklin is amongst the replacements.
Newport hooker Henry Palmer makes his 200th appearance for the Black and Ambers as they host Aberavon.
Following last week’s narrow defeat at Llandovery, Newport will be hoping to return to winning ways and welcome back Ackerman to start at 12, while Morgan will be hoping to continue his impressive recent tryscoring form.
Meanwhile, Ebbw Vale will be hoping to maintain their hold on the Super Rygbi Cymru shield as they host Bridgend to the Ciner Glass stadium.
Beddall makes his debut for the Steelmen with Conquer returning from injury with Ebbw hoping to increase their five-point lead atop the SRC table.
Meanwhile, Pooler face a tough trip north to Rygbi Gogledd Cymru and are led by captain Scott Matthews at six.
Lloyd and Ford renew their half-back partnership, while there is also a chance for Cole to impress on the wing.
Pontypool are currently bottom of the SRC table but could move up to eighth with a double bonus-point victory and if they get a favour from Newport and Ebbw Vale in defeating Aberavon and Bridgend respectively.
