Ramadan Rugby is back this March! Dragons RFC have once again teamed up with Maindee Primary School in Newport and the WRU to restart ‘Ramadan Rugby’ during March.
Millions of Muslims in Wales and around the world will be observing the holy month of Ramadan - a time of fasting, reflection, community, and family time.
This year, Ramadan is expected to last 30 days, with fasting expected to begin on the evening of Friday, February 28, and will end on the evening of Sunday, March 30, with the exact dates contingent upon the sighting of the moon. The beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan will be confirmed upon sighting of the new moon.
During Ramadan our award-winning Dragons Community team will be helping run special rugby sessions on Monday and Tuesday evenings - between 10.30pm and 11.30pm - at Rodney Parade. All ages and abilities are welcome.
The sessions are planned on the following dates:
- Tuesday, March 11
- Tuesday, March 18
- Tuesday, March 25
