Head Coach Filo Tiatia has praised the ‘awesome’ support the Dragons have received at Rodney Parade this season as the club prepare for a final clash in Newport this season.
The Men of Gwent face Ulster Rugby in the BKT United Rugby Championship on Saturday evening (kick-off 5.15pm).
Ahead of the Round 13 clash, Tiatia has spoken of hid gratitude for the vocal and passionate backing the team has had this season from the faithful.
“The crowd at Rodney Parade have been awesome,” he stated.
“They have been really supportive, a great crowd when they get behind the team, and it’s no different where we are in terms of the scoreboard. They stay in it.
“I’ve only ever played against the Dragons. But to see them stay in, the mentality to stay with the team, it’s one of the greatest things if you are a player, but also as staff and as a coach. It’s pretty inspiring that they stick with the team.
“Our give back to them is the effort,” he added.
“To not give up. To be clinical and be at their best. It’s a two-way relationship.
“The players are really respectful. They always go around the ground and acknowledge them. It’s something special.”
