Head Coach Filo Tiatia believe new Defence Coach Dale MacLeod will bring honesty and challenge the way things are done when he arrives at Dragons RFC.
MacLeod will officially link up with the club this summer and be reunited with Tiatia who he worked alongside previously at Moana Pasfikia.
Plans for the 2025/26 season in the BKT United Rugby Championship and EPCR Challenge Cup are already being formulated with MacLeod jetting out to South Africa to link up with Dragons this week.
And Tiatia has outlined what the new man will bring to the post and the methods he will use to bring success to the Men of Gwent.
“Dale is experienced coach and someone who I know and trust,” said Tiatia. “I worked with him and coached against him many times.
“What you get with Dale is honesty and he will challenge how we are doing things.
"He doesn’t have a problem doing that and will rattle a few people, which isn’t a bad thing if we are going to get better.
“He will bring a lot of care and build relationships with coaches and players to get the best out of them.
“He is flying over and we will do some planning in South Africa post-Stormers,” added Tiatia.
“We will go through some planning for pre-season and calibrate different ideas, challenging a couple of things we are currently doing.”
