Dragons U18s Ready For RGC Challenge

05/09/2025

Dragons Under-18s are looking for back-to-back wins on Sunday as they take on RGC in the Academy 18s Championship.

Following last Sunday’s impressive 33-17 win at home to Ospreys, Dragons sit second in the table on six points with a game in hand on league leaders Cardiff.

Dragons have made six personnel changes from the win against Ospreys with Brogan Leary, George Bradbury, Ryley Fussell, Felix Preece-Jones, Benson Ngoshi and Oscar Friend all coming into the side.

Coleg y Cymoedd's Gethin Tudball will lead out the side from six, having also led the U17s side which beat Scarlets last month.

In the back three Coleg Gwent’s Ellis Anderson is joined by Haberdashers’ Monmouth’s Leary and Fussell of Coleg y Cymoedd while Hartpury College’s Bradbury partners Charlie Gregory in the centres.

Halfbacks sees Llandovery College’s Kai Kinsey joined by Preece-Jones of Coleg Gwent.

In the pack, Ciaran Beavis of Newport High switches to loosehead prop and is joined by schoolmate Ngoshi and Friend of Haberdashers’ Monmouth, while Coleg Gwent’s Jake Sheppard and Newport High’s Elliot Beavan renew their partnership in the second row.

Back row sees captain Tudball joined by Dean Close’s Hadley Worgan and Troy Raymond of Caerleon Comprehensive.

On the bench are Coleg Gwent’s Tiaan Hall, Scott Crewe, Ashton Swain and Isaac Williams, along with Abertillery Comprehensive’s Jayden Llewellyn, West Monmouth’s Jake Leighton, Liam Lawlor of Newport High and Sam Morgan of St Cenydd.

Hooker Benson Ngoshi said: “Last week the boys stuck to the gameplan and we were proud with the performance and just want to do it again.

“We had a positive review on Monday, you’re always going to be happy with a win, but we’ve kept humble.

“We will learn from the mistakes of last week, hopefully take those learnings into the game against RGC and hopefully get the win.”
