The Disciplinary process related to the red card given to Levi Douglas in the BKT United Rugby Championship Round 12 game against Benetton on Saturday, February 28 has resulted in the card being rescinded.
Referee Eoghan Cross showed the player a red card in the 33rd minute of the game under Law 9.20d – dangerous play in ruck or maul. The Panel overseeing the disciplinary process - Jennifer Donovan (Chair), Mike Ross and Mark Curran (all Ireland) - found that the actions of the player did not amount to an offence contrary to Law 9.20d. The red card was thus rescinded.
As a result, Douglas is now free to play and immediately available for selection for Dragons RFC.
