Dragons RFC are looking for an experienced lead rehabilitation physiotherapist to provide elite level physiotherapy services and rehabilitation to our first team squad and play a key role in our performance team. This role involves leading and overseeing the rehabilitation process of injured players, ensuring they return to full fitness and optimal performance in a timely manner.
- JOB TITLE: Lead Rehabilitation Physiotherapist
- SALARY: up to £60k dependent on experience
- CONTRACT: Permanent with probationary period

Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and planning the rehabilitation process for long term injuries in collaboration with the Head of Medical, Strength and Conditioning Department and Rugby Coaches.
- Deliver high level rehabilitation to injured first team players ensuring a safe and effective return to play using objective testing and data informed decisions - Attend medical consultations with players as required.
- Communicate effectively with the Head of Medical to ensure they are kept up to date on all medical matters relating to first team players - Lead on all meetings required for the planning and management of long-term injured players.
- Keep accurate detailed records of all injuries for injury surveillance project.
- Manage caseload of players effectively and efficiently.
- Provide education and mentoring to junior therapists and interns.
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy.
- Membership of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP).
- Registration with Heath and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Level 3 immediate Care in Sport (PHICIS) or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum five years experience in elite level sport.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
