Dale MacLeod linked up with the senior coaching team at Dragons RFC in May 2025.

The vastly experienced New Zealander moved to Rodney Parade as the club’s new Defence Coach and was reunited with Head Coach Filo Tiatia, who he previously worked alongside in Super Rugby.

The Clyde in Central Otago-born coach previously worked as Head Coach of Semco Northland Rugby Taniwha, where he not only guided on field matters but also shaped the club’s off-field environment.

MacLeod arrived in Wales with extensive coaching experience having also led Southland in the National Provincial Championship (NPC), assisted Moana Pasifika in Super Rugby, and worked with the Tongan international side, including the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
