Dragons RFC launched a brand-new Autism provision within our Community department in October 2021.
The new provision takes place indoors at Risca Rugby Club for children aged 5-16 every Wednesday from 5pm-6pm.
The sessions will be run by fully qualified and experienced autism rugby coaches and will be filled with fun engaging activities that include mini games and soft play.
There will also be sensory equipment available for the children in what is the first autistic rugby provision in Wales.

DRAGONS LAUNCH WELLBEING HUB
Dragons RFC is proud to announce a ground-breaking new partnership with Nixon Hire - culminating in the establishment of a unique Inclusive Wellbeing Hub on the North Stand at Rodney Parade.
This pioneering new collaboration is set to redefine the spectator experience at the home of Dragons - particularly for children and adults with additional needs.
Dragons RFC has become one of the first clubs in Wales to offer such a dedicated facility and the new Hub - a result of the collaboration with Nixon Hire - demonstrates an unwavering commitment to promoting accessibility, inclusivity, and community engagement.
The Inclusive Wellbeing Hub will serve as a safe haven for children and adults with additional needs, offering an enclosed, quiet, and secure space with a direct view of the pitch.
Away from the crowds, this facility aims to provide a comfortable environment for those who may be sensitive to the auditory and visual stimuli associated with live sports events.
Mike Sage, Community Manager at Dragons RFC, added: "The Inclusive Wellbeing Hub represents a significant step towards making rugby accessible to everyone in our community.
“We believe that this initiative will not only bring joy to individuals with additional needs but also inspire a more inclusive sporting culture. We can’t wait to start using the new hub both on match days and during the week."
