Andrew at the double for Under-18s
Wing Oli Andrew grabbed a try double as Dragons Under-18s resumed the Regional Age Grade (RAG) Championship with a 34-24 win over RGC at Parc Eirias on Sunday afternoon.
Dragons – who started the season with one win and two defeats in August and September – made the trip to North Wales to resume RAG hostilities and flew out of the traps.
Wing Andrew scored after just four minutes before, with RGC down to 14 men after a yellow card to fly half Carwyn Jones, a second score from centre Oliver Andrews opened up a 14-0 lead.
RGC hit back as the half wore on with tries from prop Christian Hone and Number Eight Tomos Parry.
Wing speedster Carrick McDonough scored a try just after the half hour before fly half Joe Westwood converted his own try for a 26-12 half-time lead.
Andrew grabbed his second score after the break and although home back row Dafydd Thirsk and full back Dafydd Williams crossed the whitewash a late penalty from Westwood wrapped up the win.
Dragons Under-18s have five more games in the RAG Championship over the next month. Click HERE for the full fixture list.
