The team, established to provide opportunities for disabled and non-disabled players to play contact or non-contact rugby together, were in action at Cwmbran RFC and shone from the start.
With friendships being formed off the pitch, the east versus west rivalry was clear for all to see as the game kicked off .
The Dragons started strongly with the pack working hard to secure ball for the dangerous back line.
After some big carries, David Saunders released Darren Colcombe who in turn popped a short pass to Gareth Sullivan who beat two men to score. Callum Hodges narrowly missing the conversion.
A period of pressure from the Gladiators kept the Dragons defence honest, with the All-stars forcing handling errors to secure a platform to work from.
After more pressure from the Dragons, Callum House made a break in midfield and looked set to race under the posts for a 40-yard score only to fumble the ball with glory in sight.
The Gladiators responded again and put together some good passages of play, with the home No.10 pulling the strings with some clever kicking behind.
The Dragons, though, duly went up a gear with Sullivan going close as he was bundled into touch.
However, the second try did arrive after some neat link-up play, with Sullivan grabbing his brace and Hodges slotting the conversion.
The second half started in the same vein, with the Dragons in control and throwing the ball around like the Baa-baas, the forwards working hard and breaking the gain line time and again.
A penalty to the corner gave the Dragons another platform to work from and a neat show and go from Colcombe freed up space for Hodges to score under the posts before converting his own try.
The Gladiators never gave up and were rewarded with a try of their own after a break through the middle saw the home second row cross under the posts for a converted effort.
But, after conceding a try, the fire in the belly was re-lit for the Dragons and a period of pressure resulted in Owain Tudball breaching the defence and crossing the whitewash, converted by Hodges.
That brought the end to a fantastic game of rugby, played in a great spirit with both squads adding to was a great day for all.
