Ospreys will be looking to respond to a record 44-0 defeat by Scarlets on Boxing Day that put them bottom of Conference A in the Guinness PRO14. The Liberty Stadium side have won just once in 13 matches this season
The Dragons are fifth in Conference A, above Ospreys and Zebre, and are looking to claim as fourth win of the league season as PRO14 starts in 2020 with the Round 10 fixtures.
Three To Watch:
DAN LYDIATE
Former Dragon Dan Lydiate has developed into an international back row after recovering from a career-threatening neck injury.
Aged 19 he was injured while on duty for the Dragons against Perpignan, ruling him out for the remainder of the season and initially blocking his path to higher honours. Lydiate, who moved to Ospreys in 2013, graduated to the international arena in 2009 and has won 64 caps for Wales.
A former Welsh Rugby Writers' Player of the Year, Lydiate toured Australia with the British & Irish Lions in 2013 and made three appearances as the Lions claimed a 2-1 series victory.
JUSTIN TIPURIC
Ospreys captain Justin Tipuric is one of the stars of the Welsh game having made his Test breakthrough in the World Cup warm-up clash against Argentina in 2011.
The 30-year-old – who has spent his entire career at Ospreys and made his regional debut in 2009 – has won 73 caps for his country, featuring in the last two World Cups.
A former Wales 7s international, Tipuric saw part of the British & Irish Lions squad for the 2013 tour of Australia.
GEORGE NORTH
George North is one of the most feared and dangerous wingers in the modern game. He was just 18 when he was named in Wales' squad for the 2010 November internationals and on debut scored two tries against South Africa.
North was instrumental in Wales' 2012 Grand Slam and was selected for the 2013 British & Irish Lions tour, scoring one of the best tries in Lions history in the opening Test and touching down again in the decisive final Test victory over the Wallabies.
North, who has won 91 caps for Wales and scored 39 tries, moved from Scarlets to English Premiership Northampton in 2013 before returning to Wales with the Ospreys in 2018.
