Dragons have announced that Sharp’s Brewery premium cask beer, Doom Bar, has become an Official Partner for the 2020/21 season.
An exclusive deal ahead of the new campaign will see Doom Bar, the *UK’s number 1 cask beer, join the Dragons family with their brand emblazoned on the front of the latest team kits set to be revealed later this week.
As well as taking pride of place on the front of Dragons playing kit to be worn in the PRO14 and this year’s Champions Cup, Doom Bar will have prominent branding displayed throughout Rodney Parade, on Dragons replica kit, as well as across the team’s digital platforms.
The addition of new front of shirt sponsor Doom Bar extends the support of Molson Coors through their traditional rugby brand, Worthington’s.
The association with Worthington’s will reach the fifteen year milestone this season and their name will retain a key place on the back of the Dragons kit as a lead partner at grass roots level, backing clubs across the region and beyond.
Martin Anderson, Regional Director, Molson Coors said of the partnership: “Doom Bar is proud of its strong association with rugby, from supporting numerous local clubs in Cornwall and beyond to the British & Irish Lions.
“The values of dedication, commitment, precision and teamwork are required both on the field and in the brew house.
“We wish the Dragons squad every success for the coming season as they return to the top table of European rugby in the Champions Cup in what promises to be an enthralling campaign under the stewardship of Dean Ryan.”
Jonathan Westwood, Commercial Director at Dragons, said: “We are delighted to welcome Doom Bar, the brewery’s flagship ale into our commercial family.
"We can’t wait to the time when supporters can return to enjoy a Dragons home game at Rodney Parade with a pint of Doom Bar in hand and we look forward to working with the team at Sharp’s Brewery through our continued long standing partnership with Molson Coors.”
