Head Coach Dai Flanagan has urged his Dragons RFC to be the ‘best version of ourselves’ until the end of the season.
The Men of Gwent are in Swansea to face Ospreys in a BKT United Rugby Championship derby on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 1pm).
They also face Glasgow Warriors in the knockout stages of the EPCR Challenge Cup before an away trip to Ulster in the league and Scarlets on Judgement Day in the capital.
“We need to make sure we don’t limp out of this season,” stated Flanagan.
“It’s been a turbulent time and we have got to make sure we are focussed on what we can control.
“That is important to me, that we are the best version of ourselves until the end of the season.
“Each game is important to us. We are trying to build something and get better, and derby games are always important to us, and we have two of them left.”
Looking ahead to the Ospreys clash, Flanagan added: “We’ve got to front up. We know the Ospreys threat at set piece, and they have a very good coach in Rich Kelly who does a lot of good work.
“You can see how strong their maul is and we have got to match that and dominate it.
“It’s about controlling what we can control. We believe we are good at some aspects of the game and the more the game can break into that aspect the more it comes into our favour.
“The speed of the game will be important to us, doing it on our terms, we can’t afford to be loose because loose leads to errors.
“We need that control and then up the tempo when we need to. That can give us an advantage at some stage.”
