Head Coach Filo Tiatia has welcomed the news that star duo Aneurin Owen and Harri Keddie have signed new deals – praising the manner with which both players have ‘grown as leaders’ this season.
Both Owen and Keddie were named vice-captain – alongside Matthew Screech - by Tiatia when he assumed interim control of team affairs.
And Tiatia, now installed as Head Coach, has rewarded the homegrown duo for their form and impact, both on and off the field, with new deals to continue their progress with the Men of Gwent.
News of the new contracts for Owen and Keddie following confirmation earlier this month that Wales international Elliot Dee had also agree fresh terms.
“I am thoroughly enjoying working with both Aneurin and Harri and really proud of their growth as leaders,” said Tiatia.
“From looking at them both from pre-season to where they are now, both have moved forward. Particularly Aneurin whose leadership has grown immensely.
“It’s vital we look to retain our best homegrown talent and Aneurin and Harri are the kind of players who will continue to have a massive impact on this club for the years to come.
“I am now looking forward to working with both of them this season and the next couple of seasons as they are both incredibly valuable to us as a club.”
