Dragons RFC are looking for an experienced first team physiotherapist to provide elite level physiotherapy services to our first team squad and play a key role in our performance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the cutting edge of professional sport.
- JOB TITLE: Senior Physiotherapist
- SALARY: Up to £50k dependent on experience
- CONTRACT: Permanent with probationary period
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain high player availability to the Dragons RFC senior squad through accurate injury assessment, diagnosis treatment and rehabilitation.
- Plan and deliver high level rehab to injured first team players ensuring a safe and effective return to play using objective testing and data informed decisions.
- Communicate effectively with the Head of Medical to ensure they are kept up to date on all medical matters relating to first team players.
- Assist in keeping accurate detailed records of all injuries for injury surveillance project.
- Provide match day physiotherapy care and pitchside trauma cover for first team fixtures.
- Manage caseload of players effectively and efficiently.
- Provide education, mentoring and to more junior therapists and interns.
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy.
- Membership of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP).
- Registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Level 3 Immediate Care in Sport (ICIS) or equivalent qualification.
- Three to five years experience in elite level sport.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
