Dragons RFC prop Robert Hunt will have an enforced spell on the sidelines after undergoing surgery.
Hunt – who has made 13 appearances for the Men of Gwent in his debut season – suffered a hamstring injury during the BKT United Rugby Championship fixture with Ospreys Rugby at the Electric Brewery Field in January.
The 29-year-old front row successfully underwent surgery earlier this week and will now be ruled out for an extended period of time.
Paul Cremin, Head of Medical Services at Dragons RFC, said: “Robert had surgery in London on a high-grade hamstring injury on Tuesday.
“The surgeon was pleased with the outcome of the operation and Robert will now commence his rehabilitation process over an extended period of time.”
Robert has asked the club to pass on his thanks to supporters for the well-wishes and messages of support he has received over the last two weeks.
