Dragons have been placed in Pool 1 this season with Clermont, Northampton Saints and Romanian outfit RCM Timisoara Saracens.
The European campaign will kicks-off in western Romania this Saturday at the Dan Paltinisanu Stadium in Timisoara (kick-off 12.30pm BST).
And Jackman is determined to take his big guns on the Euro trip to make a strong start and make improvements from the league defeat to Cardiff Blues.
“We will go fully loaded to Romania and look to get a first win in the competition,” he said.
“We are very lucky to have a pool that also contains Northampton and Clermont and we are looking forward to that challenge. We’ve got a real test.
“We need to work on our scrum and lineout maul to get them better,” he added.
“We were strong last year so we need to get the new personnel up to speed and making that a weapon.
“As the weather gets worse, which it will, that is going to be a key part of the game. We know we have the ability to fix it and we will.”
