Wales international wing Rio Dyer returns to the starting line-up as Dragons RFC face Section Paloise in Round 2 of the EPCR Challenge Cup at Rodney Parade on Saturday (kick-off 5.30pm).
Dyer – who has scored four tries in six appearances this season – is one of two changes made to the team that drew with Emirates Lions in the club’s opening European fixture last weekend.
Back row Aaron Wainwright is also named in the team as he takes his place at Number Eight.
Dragons Academy product and Wales Under-20s ace Ryan Woodman could make his club debut after being named among the replacements.
There are also replacement call-ups for fly half JJ Hanahan and centre Max Clark.
“We know what is coming. Pau will be good up front with a decent scrum and maul. But they will also have a back line that, given space, will take it,” said Forwards Coach Luke Narraway.
“I think they play a bit more than some teams in France, they like to express themselves with dangerous runners. We must make sure that we're bang on it so that we don't get any surprises.
“Ultimately, we are concentrating on us and the things that we've got right, especially at Rodney Parade this season so far, and making sure that we emulate that. We’re looking forward to the challenge.”
