Dragons winger Brogan Leary scored on his U20s debut as Wales ran in seven tries against Uruguay on Tuesday.
Along with their attacking exploits, Wales produced a solid defensive effort, not conceding a point, winning 47-0 in Tbilisi.
Wales secured the bonus point before half-time through substitute Steffan Emanuel’s brace, a try from hooker Oscar Thomas and another from number eight Alex Ridgway.
Wales added three more in the second through Ridgway’s second, along with scores for Leary and Tom Bowen.
Leary’s effort came 15 minutes into the second half, a superb line off fly-half Lloyd Lucas, cutting through the defence before fending off the cover to score a great solo try.
Fellow Dragons, James Talamai, George Tuckley and Evan Minto all came off the bench to make an impact with the latter coming close to a try of his own.
Wales have now earnt back-to-back pool wins in the championship for the first time since 2013, and head into Tuesday’s clash with South Africa full of confidence.
