Second row enforcer Matthew Screech will continue to rewrite the record books at Dragons RFC after signing new terms with the Men of Gwent.
Screech, 31, is currently the second highest appearance maker at the club having featured in 183 games for Dragons.
The Wales international lock can now look forward to his 11th season with the club after putting pen to paper on a new multi-year deal.
Screech follows Wales duo Rio Dyer and Aaron Wainwright in agreeing new terms to stay at Rodney Parade.
Head Coach Dai Flanagan said: “Matthew has been a pivotal player for the club over more than a decade and his impact and influence in the squad continues to grow.
“He’s a vastly experienced player who is excited to continue to represent his club and Gwent rugby.
“Matthew is a superb role model for our younger players to learn from while he remains a key figure in our pack in both the domestic and European game.”
Church Village-born Screech made 163 appearances for Dragons between 2013 and 2021.
Following a spell with Cardiff Rugby, Screech returned to Dragons in 2022 and continues to be a key player for the club.
Screech won the league’s Ironman Award in 2019/20 for the most minutes played and was called up by Wales for the first time in 2021, making his debut against Argentina at Principality Stadium.
Screech said: “I’m really pleased to agree new terms and continue mu journey with Dragons, more than a decade on from making my club debut.
“Everyone who knows me knows just what is means to pull on the jersey and I’ve always had fantastic support from fans and every time I run out at Rodney Parade.
“We all want to build a successful future for Dragons and I’m looking forward to putting my all into making that happen in the coming seasons.”
