Dragons support National Autistic Society

21/03/2024

Dragons RFC will play in a special kit in support of the UK’s leading charity for autistic people and their families when they face Vodacom Bulls later this month.

The Men of Gwent will wear an eye-catching new strip in support of the National Autistic Society for the BKT United Rugby Championship clash with the South African giants at Rodney Parade on Saturday (March 23).

The mission of the National Autistic Society is to transform lives, change attitudes, and create a society that works for autistic people. Since 1962, the charity has been providing support, guidance, and advice, as well as campaigning for improved rights, services, and opportunities for autistic people and their families.

Hayley Parker, Interim Head of Fundraising and Supporter Relations at the National Autistic Society, said: “We are thrilled to have worked with Dragons RFC on this unique kit, to increase understanding of autism.

“There are more than 700,000 autistic people in the UK, and events like this raise awareness and vital funds to help support our charity's mission to create a society that works for all autistic people.”

Graeme Bradbury, Interim CEO at Dragons RFC, added: “We are absolutely delighted to reveal this year’s charity kit and show our support for the wonderful work of the National Autistic Society.

“The BKT United Rugby Championship game with Vodacom Bulls gives us a great platform to highlight the incredible work of the charity and I’m sure our supporters will also get right behind this initiative and purchase another striking VX3 kit that will generate vital funding for the National Autistic Society.”

Ahead of the Bulls game we will be sharing even more information on the incredible work of the National Autistic Society and helping supporters discover how they can support the charity!

Dragons are absolutely thrilled to team up with the National Autistic Society and we have worked with the charity and our Official Kit Partners VX3 to create the unique kit to show our support.

First team stars Aaron Wainwright, Harri Ackerman and Ewan Rosser recently wore the new kit for the first time. Click above for all the images!
