George Nott played a big part in helping the England Under 20's win the 2017 U20 World Championship, making five appearances including the final victory over Ireland. Nott was also named in the team of the tournament for his impressive performances. After going to school in Chester and coming through the Sale academy system, Nott made 41 appearances for the Manchester-based club, including 22 games in the Premiership following his debut in 2017. He also had loan spells with Fylde and Chester.

Two years later Nott signed for London Irish before the 2019/2020 Gallagher Premiership season, where he went on to make 64 appearances for the Exiles, across his three seasons in London. Born in Bodelwyddan, Wales, Nott made the move to Newport where he joined the Dragons ahead of the 2022/2023 season.

The Welsh qualified lock – standing at 6ft 6in and over 18 stone – Nott has added both size and physicality to the pack at Rodney Parade and has been an excellent line-out operator for the region during his debut season, with the club ranked first in the league at the set-piece. Nott, who can also play in the back row, made 13 appearances for the Men of Gwent throughout the 2022/2023 season.
