Dragons Academy graduate Brodie Coghlan become a regular in the first team after spells at Newport RFC and RGC in North Wales under the guidance of Ceri Jones. 

The highly regarded Newport-born hooker made his debut for the region against Lions off the bench in December 2022 and made his 50th appearances for the region against the same opposition in the 25/26 season. 

His first start came against Glasgow in January 2023 and has become a mainstay at the start of the 2024/25 season, starting in each of the first six games of the season. Coghlan made an incredible 29 tackles against Sharks at home in October 2024.

Coghlan's impressive performances earnt him a Wales call-up, debuting against the All Blacks in the Autumn of 2025.
